BUILT TO SERVE. PREPARED TO RESPOND.

Above The Storm Foundation was built around a simple belief:

Service does not have to end when the uniform comes off.

Our foundation brings together people with a heart for service, a willingness to step into difficult environments, and a desire to help others rise above adversity.

We exist to respond when communities are overwhelmed, support people when they are vulnerable, and create pathways for restoration long after the immediate crisis has passed.

OUR ORIGIN

Above The Storm was born from a combination of military service, lived experience, and a desire to continue serving others.

The military teaches you to move toward the problem when others are moving away from it. It teaches discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and the importance of being ready before the moment arrives.

But service can leave people asking an important question when that chapter ends:

What now?

For many veterans and first responders, the desire to serve never disappears. The environment simply changes.

Above The Storm Foundation was created to provide another place to put that experience to work — serving communities, helping people through crisis, and turning experience into meaningful action.

At the same time, our mission has grown beyond those who have worn a uniform.

Trauma, loss, disaster, exploitation, and adversity affect people from every walk of life. We believe everyone deserves an opportunity to move forward, find purpose, and rise above what they have experienced.

That is where response becomes restoration.

THE MISSION

Above The Storm Foundation exists to respond, stabilize, and restore.

We develop people and capabilities to support communities affected by disasters and critical events through:

SEARCH & RESCUE
Supporting efforts to locate, assist, and recover people when traditional resources are overwhelmed.

HUMANITARIAN AID
Delivering essential resources and assistance to communities facing crisis and disruption.

COUNTER HUMAN TRAFFICKING
We augment local and national agencies with assistance in counter human trafficking operations.

DEBRIS CLEARING
Helping restore access, mobility, and essential infrastructure following disasters.

COMMUNITY STABILIZATION
Supporting communities and partner agencies as they move from immediate crisis toward recovery.

RESTORATION & RESILIENCE
Creating proactive pathways for individuals to move through adversity, develop resilience, and rediscover purpose.

BEYOND THE RESPONSE

Rescue is only the beginning.

A disaster may last days, but its effects can last years.

The same is true for trauma.

Through partnerships and leadership development, we are building proactive recovery pathways that address the person behind the crisis.

Our work includes opportunities for spiritual and mental resilience, peer leadership, community connection, and continued service.

We have a particular heart for veterans, first responders, survivors of traumatic experiences, and others who have carried burdens that are often invisible to the people around them.

Our goal is not simply to help people survive what happened to them.

It is to help them discover what they can do next.

OUR APPROACH

We believe meaningful impact requires more than good intentions.

It requires preparation.

It requires capable people.

It requires trusted partnerships.

And it requires the willingness to move toward difficult situations with humility, discipline, and purpose.

We are building an organization where volunteers can develop practical skills, leaders can grow, partners can coordinate, and communities can receive meaningful support when they need it most.

As our capabilities grow, so will our ability to serve.
